-Issue: Post-traumatic stress disorder, social stigma and a lack of UN communication capacity on a refugee camp of over 40,000 led to a particularly high levels of economic and social isolation for the groups of ex-child soldiers living on the camp.

-Solution:
In 2007, GPE sent 5 volunteers to work at the Veteran Ex-Child Soldiers Association of Liberia at the Buduburam refugee camp providing:
-2,000 de-worming treatments
-Workshops on repatriation opportunities to ex-child soldiers

Additionally, in 2008, GPE sent another group of volunteers from FSU and Santa Fe College to further develop vocational training opportunities and expand primary education capacities by providing:
-English and Math instruction at Carolyn A. Miller Elementary School
-Eye Health screening at the Unite For Sight Clinic
-Health information to the clinic and refugee camp
